Jon Swindler will speak about multiple completed and on-going collaborative art projects. Individual and group collaboration has become an integral part of his studio output over the last five years, yielding work that defies traditional notions of creative ownership and ego. This interest in the suspension of individual artistic identity was spawned by years of interaction with the inanimate materials of printmaking- wherein he felt his role shift from that of a maker to that of a facilitator.
Jon Swindler is a professor of Printmaking at the University of Georgia USA currently visiting HDK Steneby to create an exhibition with Fulbright scholar Michael McFalls in Steneby konsthall.
