Vi välkomnar Flora Könemann och Jeff Doering till Steneby som Artists in Residence våren 2019!

Jeff Doering har gått på Metallgestaltning HDK vid Steneby och är nu tillbaka-flyttad till Dals Långed för att aktivera andra att se värdet i att arbeta kreativt. Jeff kommer under sin AiR arbeta med Makerspace Steneby – en kreativ mötespunkt för lekfullt problemlösande utan prestation. För mer information om projektet följ deras FB  Makerspace Steneby

 

Flora Könemann bor i Berlin och har bland annat studerat på HDK, master på Valand och kandidat i Frankfurt. Under vistelsen på Steneby kommer det ske möte mellan ljudet och väven. Ett möte mellan hantverk och performance; eller som Flora själv beskriver i sin ansökan:

I propose to work on a series of microtonal listening sessions and sound performances/installations that will especially explore laces and space in weaving. The craft of weaving is hereby understood as a gateway to channel the material qualities of space and lace into microtonal frequencies. I will be working on a loom while at the same time mirroring and translating the pulse of lace/space weave into electroacoustic sound. I am especially interested in sequencing the void of the material and relate it to a synaestetic and spacious act of listening.
