Geert – originally from the Netherlands – bases his products on all kinds of metal objects that should have been discarded and works under the name Den Flygande Gnistan (the flying spark). The material comes from industry, local farmers, and everything in between. He likes to call himself a modern blacksmith who practices upcycling, where both the material and the shape are reused but in a different context.
