The 90s saw the beginning of a period of major changes in the field of crafts. I see it as a theoretical turn. In my dissertation I reflect upon the change. One thing that struck me was that the theoretical turn did not include the theory practice (= the practice that produces theory) of the field. My work is an attempt to help fill the gap.
