Välkomna till Anneli Pihlgrens separatutställning ’Skogens Arkiv’ på Steneby Konsthall. (English Below)

Anneli Pihlgrens konstnärskap rör sig mellan en rad olika praktiker som måleri, teckning, performance och installation. I fokus för hennes arbeten är teman som lust/förlust, längtan/minnen och kropp/natur.
De senaste åren har hon undersökt och systematiserat olika skogsområdens topografi ur ett antropocentriskt perspektiv genom ett undersökande måleri. Projektet handlar om människans förhållande till naturen och en uppvärdering av det man vanligtvis inte ser eller tänker på.

Rent konkret arbetar Anneli med måleri utomhus på ett flertal olika platser. Basen för hennes verk är noggranna närstudier av mark och jord samt insamlade naturalier. Hon bearbetar sedan materialet genom pseudovetenskapliga teckningar, skulpturer, och texter. Verken är intima möten med naturen och en uppskattning av det nära och enkla. Resultatet blir ett slags skogens arkiv.

Steneby Konsthall is delighted to present the solo exhibition by Anneli Pihlgren, ’Skogens Arkiv’ (Archive of the forest).

Anneli Pihlgren’s art moves between a number of different practices such as painting, drawing, performance, and installation. Her work focuses on themes such as desire & loss, longing & memories and body & nature.

In recent years, she has investigated and systematized various forest areas from an anthropocentric perspective. Through exploratory painting, this project is about man’s relationship to nature and an appreciation of what you do not usually see or think about.

The foundation for Anneli’s work is concentrated close-up studies of land and soil, as well as collected samples. She paints outdoors in a number of different places, and then processes the material through pseudo-scientific drawings, sculptures and texts. The resulting works are intimate encounters with nature and an appreciation of the close and  simple. An archive of the forest.
